We announce the presence of the French Minister of Trade and Attractiveness, Mr Frank RIESTER to Nigeria as he seeks to foster stronger ties between France and Nigeria.
As part of his visit, he addressed the Nigerian governors forum in Abuja, paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Trade and Investment and the Finance Ministry, meeting with the French business community in Nigeria, among others.
The President of the Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce, Usman Mohammed, accompanied by the Vice President, Marc Geniteau, and the Director General, Moses Umoru, met with the Minister yesterday and stressed the role being played by the chamber of commerce in the promotion of France Nigeria relationship and the collaboration between the chamber and the economic service of the embassy, business France, and other economic players within the France-Nigeria ecosystem. The Minister commended the efforts of the Chamber while advocating for greater collaboration.
Mr. Riester while outlining the objective of his visit to Nigeria, stated that “I am in Nigeria first to strengthen the Nigeria /French bilateral relations and to strategize with the government and other stakeholders on how to improve the present relationship. We want to strengthen the links between the French and Nigerian private sectors,” he said.
