The rotating tenure system of the mantle of leadership of the Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has necessitated the appointment of Alhaji Usman Mohammed as the new President of the Chamber, this was disclosed at the 35th Annual General meeting of the Chamber which took a virtual form on Friday the 28th of August 2020. find link to recording https://youtu.be/
The outgoing President, Mr Eric Jeanneau in his remarks welcomed the new president and explained that the chamber has recorded 20% growth in its membership while the networking platforms have become very engaging. These successes have given room for the creation of a new membership category ‘start-up category’ which he said has necessitated a need to float a foundation to support the start-ups in the area of financing, technical support and a hub for operations.
Mr. Eric also said that the efforts of the Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has not gone unnoticed as most key government organizations and state institutions have reached out for partnership, collaboration and input in key policies.
Alhaji Usman Mohammed with an international experience in oil services and the MD/CEO of New Energy Services Company NESSCO has accepted the mantle of office and pledged to drive the objective of the chamber which is aimed at promoting France Nigeria business relationship.

also brought in 3 new board members. They are; Mr. Marc Geniteau from Total E&P Nigeria Limited as the Vice President, Mr. Paul Jackson London from SPIE as member, and Ababacar Samb from Schneider electric Nigeria also as member.
