DANONE PARTNERS WITH OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT

In line with its commitment towards achieving backward integration in the dairy production industry, Danone (Fanmilk Nigeria) on the 28th of January, 2021 signed a Partnership Agreement with the Ogun State Government in Abeokuta.

The partnership agreement was signed as part of Danone’s commitment to improving the local farmer and community participation in dairy farming, which is in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s backward integration program for the improvement of local milk production and reinforcement of the Federal Government’s initiative to sustain the economy and achieving food self-sufficiency in the country.

The signature ceremony was witnessed by the French Ambassador- Mr Jerome Pasquier, The regional economic counselor of the French embassy, Mr Pascal Furth , the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, the Secretary to the State Governor Mr Tokunbo Talabi, among others.

The Managing Director of Fan Milk Plc, Mr Ferdinand Mouko in his reaction said “we are quite elated as this marks the beginning of One Danone & Fan Milk social impact project in Nigeria considering the effect we expect this project to have on the host community in Ogun State”.
